I have spent over twenty years as a Special Agent, GS-1811 Criminal Investigator. From 1987 to 1998, I was a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration. From 1998 until June 2008, I was the Resident Agent in Charge (RAC) for the Social Security Administration/ Office of Inspector General (SSA/OIG). As a RAC for the SSA/OIG the Special Agents under my supervision and I investigated violations of the Social Security Act (U.S.C. 42). This included such diverse types of violations such as allegations of wrong doing by employees, disability fraud, program fraud, identity theft, misuse of Social Security cards, counterfeiting of documents, sale and distribution of both real and counterfeit documents, etc.

My background gives me a very wide range of experience from which to draw. I have worked undercover, led and conducted extensive surveillance operations, gathered, organized, and presented extensive amounts of evidence for court use, and have spent countless hours testifying in both state and federal court proceedings. I have investigated everything from simple disability fraud cases to complex and intricate conspiracy Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) cases which resulted in the indictment, conviction, and sentencing of a multitude of subjects.
Since 2008, I have been the owner/operator of Balthrop Investigations LLC. In this position, I have additionally investigated all sorts of criminal and
civil matters involving Family Law, Insurance Defense, White Collar crimes,
Missing Persons, and Criminal Defense cases.
